This is a Past/Present/Future exhibit piece. Available to pick up or have shipped after January 11, 2026.
Artist Statement:
This piece features a design first created on the app Procreate. I transferred it to the wood panel and used both kolrosing and pyrography to incise and burn elements. I used coffee/cocoa with a small amount of walnut oil to bring out the incised lines. I painted around the dark lines with thinned white acrylic. I am inspired by historic kroting designs utilizing milk paint and wanted to suggest that in this piece. It is my intent to immerse myself in heritage arts and crafts from Norway, and interpret them in new ways artistically.
Dimensions: 1 2 x 12 inches
Materials: acrylic paint and mediums, cold wax on basswood panel
