2024-06-08 – Rhubarb in the Nordic Kitchen (Online)

June 8 (3:00-5:00 pm CT)

Kristi Bissell

This is an online class hosted on Zoom.

Get ready to explore the wonderful world of rhubarb! In this hands-on virtual class, Kristi will guide you through three delicious rhubarb recipes, taking inspiration from Nordic ingredients and traditional dishes. From dessert to beverage and sweet to savory, this class will cover a wide range of rhubarb recipes: An old-fashioned rhubarb crumb cake and a rhubarb cordial (and martinis), along with a savory rhubarb chutney. Get ready to expand your rhubarb repertoire beyond the traditional pies and crisps!

This Vesterheim cooking class is designed as a small-group cook-along, and we invite exchange between the instructor and students in order to build community around food traditions. In this same spirit of sharing, we invite the whole family to experience this collaborative cooking and learning process. Only one registration is needed per household.

Recipes will be sent to you approximately one week prior to class. Students will need to provide ingredients for the recipes.

Additional Supplies:

Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.
