Description
Join woodworker and instructor Charles Thompson in a dissection of brettstuhls, or plank chairs, and the decorative techniques used to embellish them. Brettstuhls were a common vernacular chair made along the Rhine, through the Alps, and in Moravian communities. Charles will discuss his process for creating these chairs and the influence of traditional designs, symbols, and motifs in his current work.
