Vesterheim Magazine Vol. 7, No. 1 2009 - Dyed in the Wool
Vesterheim is published twice a year, featuring in-depth articles focusing on the museum's priceless collections of artifacts, Norwegian-American history and culture, and up-to-date information on all museum events, classes, tours, and education opportunities.
This issue focuses on sacred symbols in Norwegian and Norwegian-American textiles, the knitting of Elsebeth Lavold, and contemporary weaving in the Norwegian tradition, as well as the history of the newspaper Decorah-Posten, the story of Abraham Jacobson, and the carving of Alfred Anderson.
