Join Beth Hoven Rotto, guest curator for Vesterheim's Hand Me Down the Fiddle exhibit, for the second in a series of four online classes to learn forgotten Norwegian-American fiddle tunes! In this session, titled "Tunes that Move," participants will learn about playing for dancers, bowing techniques, and rhythm. 

Each workshop in this series will stand alone, but attending all is encouraged. Each session will include learning two tunes and access to a recording of the workshop.

 

Level of Instruction: 

Intermediate – all tunes will be in first position and taught by ear.

Supplies:

Students will need to provide their own instrument as well as a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.
