Vaffelhjarte by Maria Parr

Maria Parr (b. 1981) comes from Vanylven, in the Sunnmøre district of western Norway, where she still lives today. She made her debut as an author in 2005 with this book Vaffelhjarte (translated into English as Waffle Hearts, 2013; in North America, Adventures with Waffles, 2015). Her books have been translated into many languages, adapted for the stage, and made into a television series for children by NRK, the Norwegian public-service broadcaster.
