Oslo Jigsaw 1000 Pieces by Martin Schwartz

Oslo is the smallest of the three Scandinavian capitals, yet it boasts a great variety of urban scenes. In one street the city may appear very metropolitan with high and modern buildings, while in other streets you will find old wooden houses as if you were in a small local village. In recent years Oslo has set the scene for an iconic architectural landscape along the old harbor front, with the new Opera House and the Bar Code being among the most famous projects.

Martin Schwartz (born 1974) is a Danish illustrator and graphic designer who works from his studio in the Vesterbro neighborhood of Copenhagen.

With his series of detailed city illustrations, Martin Schwartz has distinguished himself as one of the most significant poster designers in Denmark, and today his posters are sold to a large international audience.

Martin Schwartz’s city posters are intended as a tribute to the many different buildings found in every city – whether they are ugly, ordinary or iconic does not matter, as long as they are descriptive of the city’s DNA.
