The one and only blue, found in so many Scandinavian linens! In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to make their own indigo vat at home and bring those blues to life themselves. Using a mineral-based vat is simple, fun, and can dye huge amounts of fabric! Whether you're a Nordic weaver looking to integrate flammegarn techniques into your linen coverlets, or if you'd just like to add some blue to your home, this class will get your started.

In addition to the materials included in the kit, students will need to provide a 5-gallon bucket, a stirring dowel or stick, gloves, hot water, and additional cellulose-based textiles.
Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.
