William Morris Pimpernel Pillowcase by Ekelund

A2094
$65.00

William Morris' Pimpernel pattern is from 1876. This elaborate symmetrical pattern is the first example of Morris using a repeating pattern.

Centered on large tulip flowers and loops of foliage, the title Pimpernel refers to the small flowers dotted throughout the design. The pattern can be found in Morris’ own dining room at Kelmscott House in Hammersmith.

This pillowcase is made of  55% cotton & 45% linen so it is soft and comfortable.

Ekelund linens are made in Sweden by Ekelund weavers. These collections of textiles are some of the finest woven linens we’ve found. They reflect the taste and style of the Scandinavian good life. Established in 1692, Ekelund family members have been purveyors to the Royal Court of Sweden for over a century.

All Ekelund linens are woven at the old family mill with natural materials that have been cultivated, harvested, and selected with respect for the environment and recognized by The Swedish Society For Nature Conservation.
