Ruth Olsen was a teacher in her professional career. Upon retirement, she started painting hand-blown glass balls into Scandinavian Christmas Ornaments. Her heritage is Norwegian, and she traveled to Norway and Sweden and then incorporated their folklore into her ornament designs.
