Description
Join beloved Vesterheim instructor Lesley Darling for a family journey into the wonderful world of weaving. Lesley will guide you through the tips and tricks needed to walk away with your very own weaving for you to hang in your window or wherever you would like. You will also learn information about cultural weaving from Nordic and other cultures.
Note: This program has been designed for families to experience on their own schedules. There is no live Zoom event and no scheduled class time – your family can participate anytime during the month when it works for your schedule! On the first of the month, you will receive an email with the links and information about how to access.
Supplies
The $30-per-family price covers the cost of a special folk art class kit designed for two participants to explore needle felting. Kit includes all folk art materials needed, some images as inspiration from the Vesterheim collection, and a treat. Because of the specialized materials included in this kit, this class is best suited for children ages 8+ with an adult.
Please note: Each kit will have a slight color variation of yarn because of the natural dyeing process.
If you are registering for this class in a location outside the United States, you will need to provide your own supplies. Please contact folkartschool@vesterheim.org when you register for more information about what materials are required for this class.
