Description
Start your day the Scandinavian way with a collection of cozy breakfast bakes. In this cook-along class, Kristi will prepare three Nordic-inspired recipes that showcase the warm flavors and wholesome ingredients of the North: Cardamom Banana Bread, Swedish Apple Muffins, and Lingonberry Baked Oatmeal.
Along the way, we'll explore the Scandinavian love of cardamom, oats, rye, and seasonal fruit while discussing tips and techniques for creating tender quick breads, flavorful muffins, and hearty baked oatmeal. These simple, make-ahead-friendly recipes are perfect for sharing with family and friends or enjoying throughout the week.
Students will leave with recipes, baking tips, and plenty of inspiration for bringing a little Nordic comfort to their morning table.
This Vesterheim cooking class is designed as a small-group cook-along, and we invite exchange between the instructor and students in order to build community around food traditions. In this same spirit of sharing, we invite the whole family to experience this collaborative cooking and learning process. Only one registration is needed per household.
Supplies
Recipes will be sent to you approximately one week prior to class. Students will need to provide ingredients for the recipes.
Additional Supplies
Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.

When registering for the class, please make sure to use the mailing and email addresses you'd like the Zoom meeting invitations sent to. You will receive links to the Zoom sessions by email sometime during the week prior to the class. If this class is a gift, please sign up with the recipient's mailing and email addresses or be prepared to forward the kit and all communications.
