Description

Hardangersøm is Norwegian drawn thread work. In this Hardanger embroidery online class, you will gain more experience with common Hardangersøm stitches as you learn additional stitches all while making a small doily just in time for Christmas, jul!

Instructor Shan Rayray will take you step-by-step through each of the stitches (Kloster Blocks/Satin Stitch, Drawn Threadwork with Woven Bars, and Buttonhole Edge). You will have a choice of filler stitches (Picots, Spoked Wheel, Dove’s Eye, Adjoining Wraps, and Webbing.) The class will consist of four sessions over five weeks. Each session will be accompanied by a video tutorial that you can refer to between class sessions as you complete each step.
