Description
There's an autumn chill in the air! Warm up with beautiful colors on the palette at Vesterheim's after-school Rosemaling Klubb, where you'll learn all of the basics to paint rosemaling – how to load and care for a brush, how to prepare woodenware, how to layer paint. You'll also learn about the different styles of traditional rosemaling and think about creating your own designs. There will be projects for beginners and new projects for returning students. An after-school snack will be provided.
Additional Information
Rosemaling Klubb will begin each class at Vesterheim's Bruening Folk Art School Welcome Center in the Westby-Torgerson Education Center at the corner of Mechanic and Water Streets. A Folk Art School staff member will be there to greet students as they arrive. Vesterheim Folk Art School does not provide a walking school bus for Rosemaling Klubb. Parents are welcome to independently coordinate students to meet and walk to Vesterheim together.
Supplies
Please wear or bring clothes appropriate for painting and a water bottle. If your child has special dietary needs, please consider providing their own snack.
