Description
In this introductory sloyd knife carving class, students will explore the foundational skills and safety techniques of woodcarving. Using the versatile Mora knife, participants will learn proper grip, carving strokes, and wood selection while developing confidence and control. Emphasis will be placed on safe knife handling, sharpening basics, and understanding the grain of wood to achieve clean, precise cuts.
Supplies
Students will need to supply their own Mora knife. In addition, there will be a $10 materials fee paid directly to the instructor.
