Class Details

Description
Students are invited to start their forging journey in the new Vesterheim forge! Students will be introduced to the world of forging and metalwork by first learning the basics, including safety precautions to ensure a proper forging experience.
Students will take home their own wall hooks that they make while learning the skills of metalwork.
Supplies
Propane and materials fee are included in the registration fee. Please wear closed-toe shoes and cotton-fiber clothing with long sleeves and long pants. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Special Instructions
Forging Klubb will begin each class at Vesterheim's Bruening Folk Art School Welcome Center in the Westby-Torgerson Education Center at the corner of Mechanic and Water Streets. A Folk Art School staff member will be there to greet students as they arrive.
Vesterheim Folk Art School does not provide a walking school bus for Forging Klubb. Parents are welcome to independently coordinate students to meet and walk to Vesterheim together.
