This is an in-person class held at Vesterheim Folk Art School. 

 

In this one-day class students will be introduced to the art of knotwork. Knot tying is a useful and meditative artform that can connect us to the journeys that people took to get to the new world.

Instructor Lawrence Straley will guide students through a collection of knots to start them on their knot tying journey. as well as talk through the use of the knots. 

Come celebrate the 200th anniversary of the sailing of the Restauration by learning about the knots that kept the ship going on it's voyage.

A supply list will be sent out to students closer to the start of class.
