This is an in-person class held in Decorah at the Oneota Community Food Co-op Classroom Kitchen. 


Join for a hands-on journey into sourdough baking and heritage grains! In this class students will learn how to make their own sourdough starter, talk about and see heritage and regional grains, and learn steps to making sourdough bread. This two-part (one day) in-person class will offer a great start on your sourdough journey with basic processes, tips and hints, and information on using local and heritage grains. Students will leave this class with their own sourdough starter and the ability to continue on their baking adventures. 

Note: Be prepared for your hands to be messy.

Supplies: 

Ingredients are included in the cost of registration. All you need to bring is an open mind and sense of adventure for baking!
