Whittling Klubb (5th-12th Grade)
Wednesdays, September 7 - October 12, 2022 (6 weeks), 3:00-5:00 pm CT
This is an in-person class held at Vesterheim Folk Art School.
- Do you know someone who carves wood? Did you ever wonder how they learned to do it? Here’s your opportunity to take your first steps toward becoming a whittler. You’ll learn a variety of different types of carving from an experienced teacher. Discover all the different things you can make with some wood, a knife, and your imagination. This section of
Level of Instruction:
Beginner. This program is designed for youth from 5th to 12th grades (about ages 10-17). Students are encouraged to take Beginning Whittling Klubb at least twice, before registering for Intermediate Whittling Klubb (offered later this year). This is a class designed to be taken more than once for continued skill building.
Please bring a water bottle and if your child has special dietary needs, please consider packing their own snack.
Vesterheim Folk Art School does not provide a walking school bus for Whittling Klubb. Parents are welcome to independently coordinate for students to meet and walk to Vesterheim together.
