2023-06-21 - Two in One Krokbragd: Combining Single and Double Krokbragd

This class is inspired by a krokbragd coverlet from the Vesterheim collection. This coverlet is woven in double krokbragd with single threading for a few inches at the selvedge borders. Students will combine sections of both double and single krokbragd threading and create a weaving showing designs of both techniques.

Students will provide yarn for the weft, which may be purchased from the Blue Heron Knittery in Decorah on the first day of class with guidance from the instructor. You can also bring weaving yarn from your own stash.
Warp will be provided for a small material fee.
Bring scissors, tape measure, and your favorite shuttles and bobbins. Some are available in the classroom.
