This is an online class hosted on Zoom. 


Get your seasonal open-faced sandwiches on with this winter version of smörgås! We'll create a delicious and delightful array of sandwiches. Learn the differences between Danish smørrebrød, Norwegian smørbrød, and Swedish smörgås, learn the proper order of toppings (herring is always first!), and how thick to spread your butter for the perfect tandsmör (tooth butter!). We'll also learn to skål with a signature cocktail.

Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection. You will be sent the ingredients list and class preparation approximately one week before the class in order to prepare.

If you are registering for this class in a location outside the United States, you will need to provide your own supplies. Please contact folkartschool@vesterheim.org when you register for more information about what materials are required for this class.
