Pears in the Nordic Kitchen (Online)

This is an online class hosted on Zoom. 

Join Kristi for a delicious afternoon of cooking and baking with pears! We will begin by making a fragrant Roasted Pear Compote with Cardamom, Vanilla, and Fresh Ginger, and then Kristi will show you how to turn that compote into a savory appetizer with blue cheese and hazelnuts and a show stopping pear bundt cake.

This Vesterheim cooking class is designed as a small-group cook-along, and we invite exchange between the instructor and students in order to build community around food traditions. In this same spirit of sharing, we invite the whole family to experience this collaborative cooking and learning process. Only one registration is needed per household.



A list of ingredients will be sent to participants prior to class. Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.

If you are registering for this class in a location outside the United States, you will need to provide your own supplies. Please contact when you register for more information about what materials are required for this class.
