Pacific Fishermen by Fred F. Poyner IV and John Douglas Dixon
Documenting 150 Years of Norwegian Heritage Shipbuilding!
This is a tribute to the Norwegian-heritage fishermen and shipwrights of the Pacific Northwest, an eclectic and essential group who have survived the ravages of the 1918 Spanish Flu and the 2021 COVID-19 Coronavirus. As a testament to this history, the King of Norway, HM King Harald V, specifically requested a visit to the shipyard on his tour of America in 2015. He wanted to congratulate his cadre of Norwegian-American fishing pioneers and knights-in-waiting at a PacFish BBQ where he, of course, was served King Crab!
