Norwegian Winter Wonderland Ice Skates by Michelle Carlson

Artist Statement: I was inspired by the cold Minnesota winter to paint my ice skates with Norwegian rosemaling. Both skating and rosemaling are what I love to do during the long winter months.

I love to learn about all Nordic folk art and enjoy teaching and being a part of other rosemaling groups including Twin Ports Rosemaling Society (Duluth) and Wisconsin State Rosemaling Association (Stoughton). When not painting, I am a real estate broker, property manager, and developer. My loving husband and daughter are great supporters and are my world.
