Join us for Vesterheim’s Level 2 course in the Norwegian language! We will explore a variety of vocabulary and grammar topics including, but not limited to, what interests us about Norwegian, the various methods we use to learn a language, outdoor life in Norway, and clothing! The weekly class meetings will happen on Zoom for an active, conversation-based hour and will cover chapters 1-9 of the Sett i gang textbook. Bli med oss! (Come join us!)

Supplies: 

Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.

About the Instructor:

Dr. Maren Anderson Johnson holds the Tomson Family Endowed Chair in Nordic Studies and is the Director of the Richard L. and Judith A. Torgerson Center for Nordic Studies at Luther College. She teaches courses in Norwegian language and contemporary Nordic culture. Johnson received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Scandinavian language and literature from the University of Washington and B.A. in Norwegian language and literature from Pacific Lutheran University.
