Artist Statement: This spouted container is painted in the Hallingdal style of rosemaling and on a dark green background with red earth trim. I used acrylic paints for the piece. I have been rosemaling for about 45 years and have taken and taught many classes at Vesterheim. I went on three folk art study tours with Vesterheim, studying rosemaling and carving. I am now 85 years old and still busy with my art. I received a Vesterheim Gold Medal in Rosemaling in 1989. I received another Vesterheim Gold Medal in Woodworking in 1995.
