Viking Ship Cup by Rachael Saum

Viking Ship pottery.  These bowls and cups are a wheel thrown porcelain blend clay, the trays slab built,  with a hand carved design of a Viking Ship at sea in a night sky.  This process is similar to woodcarving, and involves painting thin layers of slip on leather hard clay and carving away the slip to reveal the design.  These pieces are a hand carved and will have slight variations in the size and design with a Viking Ship, stars and a sea inspired by Rosemaling.  This pottery is food safe, microwave and dishwasher safe and functional for daily use.
