There is also \u003cem\u003epåskeøl\u003c\/em\u003e (Easter beer) and egg hunts in the garden. But other traditions look a little more like Halloween, especially as Swedish children dress up like witches and go door to door asking for treats.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’ll talk about these traditions while we whip up a \u003cem\u003ePåskebord\u003c\/em\u003e (Easter table) that includes not-so-devilish eggs, \u003cem\u003egjetost\u003c\/em\u003e cider soup with rye croutons, trout with horseradish butter and mushrooms, an orange-almond dessert, and a signature cocktail\/mocktail.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Vesterheim cooking class is designed as a small-group cook-along, and we invite exchange between the instructor and students in order to build community around food traditions. In this same spirit of sharing, we invite the whole family to experience this collaborative cooking and learning process. Only one registration is needed per household.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eSupplies\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRecipes will be sent to you approximately one week prior to class.
