Together we'll prepare two distinct crispbread recipes: a traditional Swedish rye and oat crispbread and a hearty Norwegian gluten-free seed cracker packed with wholesome seeds and grains.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo accompany our crispbreads, we'll make a luxurious whipped brown butter with flaky sea salt and explore a variety of traditional and modern serving ideas inspired by Scandinavian food culture. Along the way, we'll discuss the history of crispbread in the Nordic countries, techniques for achieving the perfect texture, and the important role crispbread plays in everyday Nordic meals and gatherings.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Vesterheim cooking class is designed as a small-group cook-along, and we invite exchange between the instructor and students in order to build community around food traditions. In this same spirit of sharing, we invite the whole family to experience this collaborative cooking and learning process.
