Carvers throughout the region have perfected over two dozen different knife techniques for removing wood chips with efficiency and precision.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn this class, students will learn and practice common Scandinavian carving techniques as well as simple knife sharpening. Students will use these skills to carve two food spreaders for their home. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eSupplies\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA complete kit of materials, valued at $100, will include \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003epractice wood, two unfinished spreader blanks, a \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eMora 106 carving knife, safety gloves, a strop and stropping compound, sandpaper, and a sweet treat from Vesterheim.
