The symbols are made using templates and spring molds, and are then attached to the tree and painted with colorful under-glazes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe instructor will bisque fire the luminaries at her home studio, then glaze and fire them a second time before returning them to Vesterheim for students to pick up about 2-3 weeks later.
