2023-11 – Handcraft at Home: Carving a Snowman (Online)
Schedule:
Instructor:
Location:
Do you want to carve a snowman? This beginner woodcarving class will allow you to create your own snowman character inspired by Olaf from Disney's Frozen, right down to the carrot nose and stick arms. This November, we invite you to try your hand at carving a snowman – whether the snow has fallen where you live or not, you don't want to miss out on this experience!
Folk Artist and Youth Educator Steph Hughes will guide and show you how to carve a wooden snowman through a warm video demonstration. The best thing about this class is that you can watch the video and open your kit materials to explore carving whenever it is most convenient for you and your family members! Your registration provides you with a kit that includes everything you need to explore this handcraft as a family at home.
No experience needed, though youth that are patient with themselves while learning new things will likely have a more enjoyable time. (Because of the specialized materials included in this kit, this class is best suited for children ages 8+ with an adult.)
