2024-03-01 Family Handcraft at Home: Wet Felting (Online)
Schedule:
Instructor:
Scrub-a-dub and have fun with this playful project! Using hand-dyed wool from the instructor’s sheep, learn how to both wet and needle felt over a bar of soap. Felted soaps are beautiful, and they will help your bar of soap last much longer too! Great for all ages.
The kit comes with everything you need except hot and cold water, a bowl, and towels. To speed up the project so you can needle felt your design sooner, a hair dryer can be helpful, but waiting overnight works just as well. Through a detailed video tutorial, Laura will take you step-by-step through the process from start to finish, with plenty of pro tips and invitations for personalizing your bar of soap. Roll up your sleeves, prepare to get sudsy, and enjoy this tactile-rich experience!
Note: This program has been designed for families to experience on their own schedules. There is no live Zoom event and no scheduled class time – your family can participate anytime during the month when it works for your schedule!
