Viking Age Art is a term for the art of Viking settlements during the Viking Age from 8th to 12th century. Viking art has many elements in common with Celtic, Romanesque and East-European art. The main symbol is the Viking ship with mastering wood carvings. But also brooches and stone carvings are common in the time of Vikings.
Made from White Spruce, no two bowls are alike. Each bowl creates its own character due to wood species, grain patterns, drying, and sanding techniques. Several of these bowls are featured in Celebrating Birch- the Lore, Art and Craft of an Ancient Tree. Food-safe finishes are applied.
