This is an in-person class held at Vesterheim Folk Art School.
Are you ready to learn woodcarving? Have you been learning woodcarving and ready to take your skills to another level? Here’s your opportunity to begin or continue your steps toward becoming a whittler. You’ll learn a variety of different types of carving from two experienced teachers. Discover all the different things you can make with some wood, a knife, gouges and v-tools, and your imagination. An after-school snack will be provided.
Level of Instruction:
Beginning and Intermediate. This program is designed for youth ages 10+.
Supplies:
Please bring a water bottle and, if your child has special dietary needs, please consider packing their own snack.
Additional Information:
Whittling Klubb will begin each class at Vesterheim's Bruening Welcome Center in the Westby-Torgerson Education Center at the corner of Mechanic and Water Streets. A Folk Art School staff member will be there to greet students as they arrive. Vesterheim Folk Art School does not provide a walking school bus for Whittling Klubb. Parents are welcome to independently coordinate students to meet and walk to Vesterheim together.
