2024-07-13 – Princess Cake

July 13 (1:00-3:00 pm CT)

Kristi Bissell

This is an online class hosted on Zoom.

Swedish Princess Cake is a showstopper of a dessert but can be an intimidating project for a home baker. Fear no more! Join Kristi and learn how to make a foolproof Swedish Princess Cake at home. Kristi will walk you through the process step-by-step so that you can confidently make this gorgeous Scandinavian cake in your own kitchen.

The Princess Cake was created in the 1940s by Jenny Åkerström, who was a teacher for the three Swedish princesses at the time. The princesses were Princess Margaretha (later Princess of Denmark), Princess Märtha (later Crown Princess of Norway), and Princess Astrid (later Queen of the Belgians).

Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection. You will be sent the ingredients list and class preparation approximately one week before the class in order to prepare.
