This is an online class hosted on Zoom.

Dr. Maren Johnson, Luther College's Associate Professor of Nordic Studies and Torgerson Center for Nordic Studies Director, facilitates a monthly bokprat, discussing Scandinavian authors and Scandinavian life. Join us in September as we discuss Sophie's World: A Novel About the History of Philosophy by Jostein Gaarder. This page-turning novel is also an exploration of the great philosophical concepts of Western thought, and has fired the imagination of readers all over the world, with more than twenty million copies in print!

Registrants should secure their own copy of the book (available for purchase soon through Vesterheim's Museum Store) and have read it prior to the discussion. We will email participants when the title is in stock.  Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.
