America Fever - DVD

The story of a young mid-nineteenth century Norwegian woman packing to move to America to join her fiancée. She fills a food barrel for the long voyage, as well as a trunk for clothes and keepsakes. The narrator’s most prized heirloom takes up no room at all: the songs she sings with her mother and sister as she prepares to leave them, probably forever. This is a moving story of immigration.
