Vesterheim Restauration Ornament

On July 4, 1825, the first organized group of immigrants left Stavanger, Norway, on the ship Restauration, bound for America. To commemorate this historic event, Vesterheim commissioned a lovely pewter ornament based on a model in the museum's collection.
